Bio

Cody Edgerton is Assistant Director of Bands and Associate Director of the Pride of Mississippi Marching Band at the University of Southern Mississippi. He teaches courses in Conducting I, Marching Band Methods, and Wind Repertoire. Cody directs the Basketball Pep Band and University Band, and he is a guest conductor for the University Concert Band, Symphonic Winds, and Wind Ensemble.

Previously, Cody served as the assistant band director at Grandville High School in Grandville, Michigan, and as the middle and high school band director for Elk Rapids Schools in Elk Rapids, Michigan. Cody is originally from Charlotte, Michigan.

Cody holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Wind Conducting from Michigan State University, a Master of Music in Wind Conducting from Western Michigan University, and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Michigan State University.
